At the end of 2017, I decided it was time to take my career to the next level and earn a certification as an AWS Solutons Architect. Since then, several opportunites came along that made me focus my efforts elsewhere, but I did continue learning about AWS along the way. Fast forward a year and a half, I decided its back to get back on track with those efforts and push forward. Introducing the #100DaysOfAWS Movement!

Yes, its a total rip off of the #100DaysOfCode movement but I honestly dont care. I see what myself and what others have accompished by holding themselfs accountable for 100 days of focusing at least an hour on software development and my gears started moving on what else this mentality could apply to. So I simply am taking the following simple principles and applying it to another focus in life;

  • Focus on progress at least 1 hour per day for 100 days.
  • Broadcast it to the world using Twitter.

Thats honestly about it. So over the next 100 days, I’ll be sending out notes on progress I’ve made in my AWS studies. The goal at this time is to get the following three certs in this order;

  1. AWS Solutions Architect Associates
  2. AWS Developer Associates
  3. AWS DevOps Engineer

It’s going to be a wild ride! Following along on my blog or at https://twitter.com/bmorrisondev
